Family Council


The Wexford Residence Family Council provides support for families and persons of importance to residents.


Objectives of our Family Council

  • To provide a liaison between the Wexford Residence Family Council members and the Wexford staff to ensure good practice and care of residents as well as enhancing the overall quality of life of residents
  • To share ideas to enhance the care of residents and ensure they live in a supportive and nurturing environment
  • To address concerns of the Wexford Residence Family Council members concerning the care of their resident
  • To increase awareness of all Long Term Care policies affecting the Wexford Residence Family Council members with the goal of developing programs or services that could improve residents care
  • To maintain regular communication with all levels of management at The Wexford
  • To welcome new families and encourage both membership and participation
  • To provide a non-partisan, confidential and safe forum for involvement of all Wexford Residence Family Council members

A Wexford Residence Family Council member is a family member or person of importance to a resident (living or deceased) of The Wexford Residence Long Term Care Home.



Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  [6:00 p.m. Socialize with light refreshments provided, compliments of the Management]. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the Wexford Board Room on the Activity floor level. Check the Family Council bulletin board in each floor unit.
